Verification and file structure

Discussion started by SoulDELF

Hello. Can you please tell me archived versions of FBX can pass verification? I reuploaded one model for test, added FBX in the archive, after 12 hours the model is still not verified.

And another question about the folder structure. From a buyer's point of view, is it better for each format to be archived along with the textures? What then to do with verification if fbx does not pass it in the archive?

My experience is exactly same as Lemonade. All calls have fallen on deaf ears. I know it's costing sales as it's misleading potential customers, but I've stopped caring about even that. I really don't bother with this site anymore, just here every now and then, there are better and more consistent places to sell.

If there's any better place to sell models, i didn't manage to find one yet. Despite its numerous flaws, cgtrader for me is by far the most reliable and best marketplace. But yeah, slowly but surely it's becoming turbosquid of its age. We need new a fresh and bold marketplace to start challenge it.

AFAIK archived files are not an obstacle for verification. As for the time frame of verification process - from my experience it can take anywhere from 1 day to couple months and sometimes never. I have bunch of models that pass all the requirements, but never get verified after 2+ years. Even if the model eventually gets verified, the results most often than not are completely wrong and are misleading to customers. I used to report such cases, but that leads nowhere and the issues are not being addressed. I just learned to pay no attention to that gimmick of a feature. Cheers
