Latest Updates on CGTrader

Discussion started by eduardas

Hi everyone,

Since a lot of you are definitely interested in hearing about what's happening inside CGTrader, I wanted to let you in on a few of the projects that have been done in November.

3D Job royalty reduction for CGTrader: We're constantly upgrading our 3D Jobs system, and one of the major news is that CGTrader will now only take 5% of the royalties from the newly-created jobs. It was previously calculated by designer's level, but we feel that should improve the quality of designers as well as attract more interest to the system. Take a look at 3D Jobs here: https://www.cgtrader.com/jobs

Buyer Engagement Program Feature: Many of you have probably seen the pop-up explaining the program, as it was also tested on Black Friday, that managed to bring us record revenues and sales during the last weekend of November. This is a long-term agreement that will be taken to improve sales with targeted promotions, buyer loyalty program and sales in between other aspects. Designers are also free to opt-out of this agreement at any time they wish.

If you haven't yet read the pop-up (or just accidentally clicked no), take a look for more information here: https://www.cgtrader.com/pages/buyers-engagement-p...

Other improvements are made constantly, and we hope to bring you the newest updates more often. If you have any questions, let them be known here.

Best Regards,
Eddie, CGTrader

Great news around the 3D Jobs system. By the way, I suppose it runs from tomorrow because I've applied to 2 jobs today an the former royalty rates were still involved.

It started running towards the end of November (25th), but only jobs created after that date are with the updated royalty rates.

I would say the jobs were posted around today (Ferrari 312 PB & 3D model + animation + rendering 10 ...) and I would get 75% of the offer. Anyway, thanks for the changes, much appreciated.

@franmarz, it could be that job offer is posted by a person from EU and VAT is deduced in that case (~19-22%).
