Hey vendors, any update from you?
my folio on CGT is not that representative to show off and still not established since I am just like 1+ year on CGT, so I just check up what´s really happening assuming more experienced vendors/sellers are fairly more able to share their (really valuable!) observations and opinions.
From my pov and observations it starts to be non-essential, so.. unfortunetely not anymore worth all the efforts. I know - small folio needs small revenues, but if a tiny and micro-folio makes more, that I once had as I´ve started, things smell not quite well.
And what is your perspective into the future here on CGT right now?

One thing I noticed that is destimulating sales of new models and uploading them, is an algorithm prioritizing older uploads no matter the number of views, likes, or sales the new model gets. For example, I recently uploaded a couple of models like Messi bust that is selling well but is still at the bottom of the search even though it is getting a good amount of views likes, and likes.
Another example is the model of Nadal I uploaded yesterday. I would expect a new model to be, at least for a few days, on the top of search engine but of course, it is at the bottom of the page.
New models promotion is broken since August, but the team is too busy implementing useless AI gimmicky shit to fix it. Maybe sometime next year, or the year after, or more likely never...
if you´ve sorted by "newest" and not "best results", it should be displayed on top. Or, CGT is manipulating the search results that however is quite questionable. I guess CGT should get rid off this "best results " default sorting thing because that way they permanently promote the same and specific artists instead of displaying new products in example.
Because, what is "best results" else as promotion?
albin spacemen have been on the front of CGTrader for years now. Not throwing shade or disrespect but some rotation would be nice.
#RealtimeModels#, The issue is that most of the buyers won't sort by "newest" and will be stuck seeing the same models. I think that "best results" should exist and there should be some balance between promoting "the best" and "the newest" models.
As it stands, the models are pretty fixated in place as of August. Some of my models that should already be on the top of search based on sales alone are almost nowhere to be found...

I had 11 sales last month, despite my views increased by only 100-150. This month I have no sale half a month. And yes, I am sure there will not be any sale during whole month. Of course, this is not normal. My views increase, I already have nearly 100 views in 12 days. So, maybe the buyers can explain if there is something wrong? Maybe issues related to payment, or simply change in their behaviour?
Yes, that´s brilliant abel. I´ve already thought about the sentence in my profile: "Hey buyers, if you experience any troubles with the check out process on CGTrader.... just contact RealtimeModels via the contact button, and we will...........". WHAT? Honestly, if it´s happening, what can we do about that? is it our storefront? Our sever? No :-( So, unfortunetely we operate on their system and when it´s rigged or bugged we are fckd.
Anyway, it's not normal that you see absolute 0 after month of good sales. 2 of my models had a purchase after each 5 view, but this month people just "watch" them.
I have 8 sales and 43 downloads this month. Hence, the same as I`ve started 1+ year ago with first 3-5 "experimental" models. I simply don´t know anymore what´s "normal" and what not. My friend Whiskey starts to be the only constant "normal" doing that 3d stuff right now keeping my illusions to make a "breakthrough" one day on CGT. But I mean to have already heared the future sound, even if my mind is still resisting and rejecting it. Do you think people just "watch" our models? why?
Recently there was an issue with payments. One of my buyers couldn't pay for a project last month. And this month I heart from some people that the buyers can't process their payments.

A great thought. How can it be achieved? I already started to throw gifts for buyers by sending a one-time 75% discount code on their next purchase, with the subtle question at the bottom if everything was ok with the purchase. But as it seems clients don´t like this and neither use their 75% off coupon nor they reanswer, at least if the purchase was unproblematic.

I found after April everything went weird, sales seem to be going back to normal after the last 2 months so I suspect the problem may be fixed. Sales is also one of those things that are hard to track when you dont have all the anayltics in your hands, the website knows more about where the foot traffic is, what months are best for what type of products. I used to like to read the CGT Blog since they gave lots of that data for free with visual charts, less so these days so best to track your own. For example I check quarterly, half and full year sales against previous years and if everything is moving up then its a sign that a bad month is just a bad month and nothing to worry about.
Thank you, your opinion is very appreciated. I read this "bad month statements" since I´ve started here on CGT 1+ year ago. "Bad month" seems to be the default reason as it seems.
Any updates from other sellers are very welcome too. Please share your opinions.
