technical problem with a project

Hi all, searched a lot in the forum boards but was unsuccessful and hope you can help me.
I posted a public project for freelancers to apply to and got 28 offers. So I wanted to give three of them the chance to work on the model and was in discussion with them by using the projects "chat / mail". Now, after agreeing with the first one I pressed the button "agree & pay" which means that the project started. However due to this project moving from open to started phase, I'm now unable to go back to the other two applicant's to agree with them as well and to prepay. How can I offer & prepay them as well? Do I need to create two additional projects and invite them one by one?

I did it by creating a copy of the project and invited the designer. The way you described it, didn't work - in that case the system reacted as if I would offer my work to them (as if I'm the designer). I noticed it by the fact while setting the offered amount of money. So when I put $100 in the box, it shows I'll get ~98 and the rest would be the fee for cgtrader. Anyway. I got a workaround and now know the limits of this project system.
