Stupid question about Royalty free files

Discussion started by violetwolf

Sorry may be a daft question, but newbie here, I have read the royalty free faq, but still a little confused. if i buy a royalty free file from someone on here and want to print and then sell either unpainted or painted pieces can I do that . I do not want exclusivity, i just want to offer a range of models 3d printed and then maybe cast in resin. i do not want to resell the file i just want to print and sell the finished product, either for others to paint themselves or paint and finish myself and sell?

Hi there,

Products sold with Royalty Free Licenses can be used for commercial purposes with no additional liabilities, extra royalties or other license fees applied for multiple usage of the product and volume of the end product (e.g. video game, film, animation, VR/AR application, visualization, etc.) created using the product. Products published on CGTrader may not be sold, given, or assigned to any other person or entity in the form it is downloaded from the site.

If you buy a product and use it as part of a physical object such as a toy, doll, or model, you can distribute it. However, as mentioned before, product cannot be sold in the form it is downloaded from the site.
