Request a model :)

Discussion started by joey-blendernut

Hey guys! I've been wanting to save up for a graphics tablet so I can do my sculpting better...... Anyway, if you guys have any requests, or something, let me know! I've been concerned that my work is, shall we say "unwanted". Not because of the quality, but because there is no demand for them.... So please, let me know what you guys want, and the price you're willing to pay for it... And try to keep it in my work level ;)

Thanks in Advance! :D

Some of your models looks good some of don't. Work on your presentatiton methods and use a more common program such as maya or 3ds max.Belnder is fine too and some people do really good jobs with it, but that is not enough. Don't forget. If you have good presentations and clean mesh with fair amount of poly you can sell your models. And most important part is I think be patient and keep advancing your skills. Good luck.

Thanks, and though Max and Maya are more popular programs, I have heard from several people that Blender is better than Max or Maya.... And these people were experience in both programs ;) And yes unfortunately, a lot of my older models are pieces of crap, and that's cause I wanted to rush things too much :) Also I didn't really expect to sell them :( Anyway, yeah, if you get me a chance, I'm sure you'll be pleased with my models ;)

I'm afraid Swan3DStudio is right about Blender. Either this app becomes an industry standard in a couple of years or you're not going to score a job in this field. Also, you're a 3d artist when you know the needed techniques and you can use your skills with a wide range of applications.
You might consider buying a student license from Autodesk, they give you full working software for a decent price. Only thing, you can't use it for commercial purposes.
I also agree about working on your presentation, no offense meant. Good luck mates.

Yeah, rendering isn't my thing ;) And yeah I'd like to work in a wide range of software, but at my age, 13, that's a little out of my budget :( Maya, really isn't something I care to use because I've seen people really take a long time to do stuff in there, that would take me and blender half the time :) But yes, selling models revolves around supply and demand :) And there ain't much demand for blender, but I can export it into .obj, .3ds, .dae, etc. Thanks :)
