Need a 3d model of a human skin closeup/head/hair region

Discussion started by apfelmitwurm

It does not need to be a cross-section like most are. Just the skin surface. I can´t afford those 100 to 500 dollar models. Does anyone know or have something like that in more of a 10 to 30 dollar range that isn´t completly low poly?

And it should be useable in DAZ, cause i dont have any other 3d software. :D

Thank you in advance!

Have a look on the original DAZ - website (you'll find a lot in your money range) and can be sure you'll get an original with 4k skin - textures and no stolen rip-off-model.

Yeah, the only place to find DAZ compatible products is at the DAZ store/website. There are a few sites that cater to that software as well, but the quality of those seem very suspect from what I've seen. You aren't likely to find any products for DAZ here. The products on CGT are for general 3d content creation software like 3dsmax, Maya, C4D, Blender, Zbrush, etc. I think DAZ uses the Nvidia IRay render engine or some variation of that technology, so you might be able to find a shader or texture set for Iray which would work in there, but I've not used any DAZ products in years so I don't know for sure how compatible they are with PBR textures or Iray shaders from other packages.

Well there are DAZ products here but with the human characters it's the problem they use usually original meshes made by DAZ which are only allowed to be sold there.

If we are talking about characters for DAZ and properly set up shader for skin including translucency maps, subsurface scattering, bump maps, properly set up light transmission for skin then you should buy one of the "DAZ originals" characters on the DAZ website (basic Genesis 8 characters without hair clothing cost around 45$). There are cheaper ones of other artists as well (usually derived from the DAZ original ones) but there you must watch if you need a DAZ original one to be able to use them or if they are made with basic Genesis 8 mesh. There are other "generations" of their characters (Genesis, Genesis 2 and 3) but if you want most realistic look you should choose one based on Genesis 8. For more detail like facewrinkels you'd need HD mesh which you'd to buy extra.

Most products for DAZ Studio use iray renderer now, older ones and very few now have shader setups for 3Delight renderer aswell)

EDIT: I meant that here DAZ compatible products are allowed to be sold here by artists who don't sell same ones on DAZ store and sell only SELFMADE and not derived from other peoples products content of course.

Thanks for the answers. I am quite new to 3D. I searched on the Daz store but did not find anything like what i am looking for. I found it here, but not sure if i could use it. An OBJ file i can use for daz, dont i?

Yes you can import it but you would need all maps and need to set up iray shader by yourself then to make it look realistic. And that is pretty advanced for what you want (unless you've done that before). You'll try to save at the wrong end. But I wish you good luck with whatever you want...

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
If you can't find what you're looking for, there is an opportunity to order it.

Simply click on CGTrader Freelance 3D Projects and select Post a Project. You can request a custom 3D asset with an option to set required poly count, type, model format, deadline, budget - and every other little detail.
Add a visual reference, even if it is a crudely drawn sketch, to make it easier for thousands of designers to know whether they're up to the task.

Or if you find a designer who has the perfect style for you, you can offer them a private project by clicking the Hire me button in their profile (just below their name and profile image). If the Hire me button is not available, you can still message the designer directly to ask whether they are interested in your project.

Kindly,
Agota from CGTrader
