Well, this is actually sitting in my room right now. The idea behind the black doors is kinda similar to the shiny,often colored, doors in kitchen like this one http://www.kitchendecorate.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/black-high-gloss-kitchen-cabinets.jpg
Its not plastic, its some kind of wood covered by shiny foil. Or something like that :)
