Mistake buying and Negative rating

Discussion started by jm3d00092

Last week one of my 3D models was sold

Last saturday i get a private message from the buyer explaining to me that it was a mistake. He was thinking he has paid for a real object, a cube puzzle toy, not for a 3D drawing. And he wants I refund the money.

I trust his explications, i reply him explaining i do not know how to refund him the money and please wait. I write to the Cgtrader support email to see if the refund is possible.

But the Cegetrader support has not replied me yet.

Today the buyer left me a negative rating. This makes my stats a lot worse, because I have very few reviews.

Any way to fix this problem?

I do not want his money if he does no need my 3D drawing. And I don't deserve this negative feedback

You can explain everything to support and they should remove negative rating as invalid.
I did it once. But in my case customer came back and write his negative review again.

There is also a scam. I know the case where buyer also bought a model and than imidietly asks for refund with explanation similar like in your case. He "thought" that this is the real thing, the thing that gave him up is the fact that he downloaded every single format available. On other hand buyer of your model in review wrote : "these people would not issue a refund because of a simple mistake." So I don't get it, is authors fault that you don't know what are you doing ? Is it author fault that you don't read description, so it will be best if author (seller) think instead of a buyer so he/she doesn't made mistake...

If customer did not download any files after purchase, then he can contact the support and he will be refunded, but if he downloaded the files, then he has only himself to blaim. Or this can be indeed a scam. In any case you should contact the support and ask to remove negative rating, as it is clairly not fair.
