Insects scare the hell out of me. So really happy when people just show black pictures to me when selling them.
Dear community,
Looking through the model library I found this series of models on sale. I'll post one of them
https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/animals/insect/...
Now I'd like to know who is in charge to keep and judge models like that on CGTrader, furthermore at that price?!?
I'm a buyer, not a seller but when I see those things I cannot believe CGTrader stuff allow that.
Mine is just an opinion. I'd like to hear someone's judgement.
Thanx.
A.

unfortunately, i believe cgt doesnt have the resources to micromanage the artists. The good news is, things like this are self-insulated and we need not worry about them. after all, who is actually going to spend 60 bucks on that grey mosquito with an unknown poly count? O_O (hehe, i hope at least, that no one would )
AFAIK, cgtrader moderates only few first models uploaded by members. It's up to sellers to provide good preview and description. Afterall seller is the only person who receives damage from poorly published product, as he will loose potential sales and income.
I wouldn't worry too much about dark previews, i've seen much worse cases of model presentation on cgtrader where seller puts photographs of physical things in preview instead of renders of actual model. That behaviour is fraudulent and should be reported and inspected.
You're right. The price is dropped.
Thanks for the note.
Nonono rosannaavellone, you're not getting away with this. You owe us a better render of that mosquito. Come on!
@rosannaavellone, you may want to check your monitor, because half of your preview images are totally underexposed, almost pitch black. To lower price is hardly a solution. Why instead you don't render normal previews, take some screenshots with wireframe, add proper description, set according price and watch how buyers flock at your doors :]
Don't know about others, but i wouldn't bother to download model without proper preview and description, even if it would be free.
Not to be unpleasant but those renders bother me a bit. We are not expected to come out with perfect renders but your renders... No offence.... Are thoroughly ugly!!!
I'm a buyer but if you won't be changing your art, I'm not gonna buy anything sorry
There are artists who work hard to get nice and clean results. So it's time to respect them, come on.....
Ok guys. I thank you for commenting my thread.
It seems something is not completely right in the rosannaavellone's models.
For instance this model
https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/vehicle/sci-fi/star-trek
is titled "Star Trek" but I don't actually remember that object. I'm pretty sure that thing is in Star Wars. Am I right?
Who knows that?
As far as I know, selling stuff with no proper name or wrong name is bad information and implies the immediate deletion.
is it true? If not. I apologize but if it is, I would also like to hear some comment from the staff as I'm really bother to see those renders with even wrong name and bad information spreading out....
Check this out: if you view those dark images in pop-up, they suddenly are way more visible. Might be a (still partial) problem on the side of CGTrader after all!
I will soon make the picture brighter. Thanks for your suggestions
Hi guys,
Thanks for a decent topic and it's really nice to see buyers and sellers together in one place! :)
Mark,
Thank you for your notice - we'll take a look at our end if we can fix the darker images.
Rosannaavellone,
There are definitely still ways to improve your products and make them good, quality looking.
Here's a few links that can help you with your product promotion and quality:

@rosannaavellone.
I tried to make your render brighter (I'm talking about the mosquito). The model is not bad but you should plan the wings better and the head must be more detailed. That is my suggestion.
If anyone can help you here better than I can, post any suggestion to help @rosannaavellone in his/her renders
there are huge amount of low quality but high price models on this site, don't worry, nobody is going to buy them anyway.
