Is there a limit to the sales of a similar product?

I think what all of us content creators have to keep in mind is this: Many 3D objects (or most) are modeled off reference images. This is especially true if they are going to populate scenes.

Is your concern more about creating a new design such as your own character or similar example? Remember, even in patenting (i work in product design), if you can justify a 10 percent change to the original model - that specific patent no longer constrains your work.

Since I am a beginner, I am going to upload most of my stuffs for free. I am just a student anyway but graduating soon and entering the game industry. I am looking forward to make CGtrader an active marketplace for everyone next time but if anyone download my free models and republish them exactly the same as their own, I don't think it is fair for me.

Nonetheless, I believe in the integrity of this website and everyone here. That is why I am open to revealing who I am here.

Is there some sort of premium membership here? I am not from a wealthy background, I am going to stick to free membership and I don't mind the standard royalty of the sales I receive. I am not into CG arts for the money. It is the passion that matters.

Yes, different clients can buy the very same product of yours.

Regarding the free model posting - I'd say most of designers will disagree about the idea of mostly free model publishing! If you do consider your products worth a few bucks, you should upload it with a price tag on it. Some designers have a few free models to showcase their works, but you'll rarely find a designer who will agree with a big amount of free model posting. Of course, it's a free country (and a model marketplace, for that matter), so your decision belongs to you. :) anyway, I'd suggest starting a new forum thread to talk about fellow designers about free model posting (there are some older ones here as well), you'll find out a lot of the guys here are willing to help!

Yes, it can, unless you'll choose to sold with exclusive licence.

That would be plain illegal, unless you'll explicitly share your models with CC0 licence.

No, there isn't such membership. AFAIK everyone is treated on the same level here. There is no exclusivity program nor elite club on cgtrader.
