Looking good! Especially good job on the fire effects!
Since even the nicest of fireplace models look drab without a fire kindled in the hearth, I thought I'd test a simple, but effective method of getting an animated fire into a broadly usable format. Introducing the 'Flaming Pear', so named because it's a pear-shaped primitive with a video texturing. It works exceptionally well in Carrara, but FBX and DAE exports require tweaking for import into Maya. It imports fine into 3DS Max. The Antique Fireplace model imports best into UE4, which has Particle Fire, so doesn't even need the Flaming Pear. The resources provided to get the Flaming Pear functional with just about any animation app include the video clip, PNG image sequence and an animated GIF.
