How view counts work?

Discussion started by Abelian

I uploaded a model. After a day, the views count is 5. What this number means? Is it based on all the clicks number or it simply counts 1 view per IP? For example, if I click on my model 10 times from the same PC, will the views number increase by 10?

Only CGT knows specifics. You should ask them:
support@cgtrader.com

You get paid based on sales not views. In my experience there is no dierect link between views, likes and sales.

To determine we should or should not keep an eye on views or likes, we needed to know whether or not they affect our position in search results. But we don't know that either.
Maybe you could ask that as well...

What is the point of this question? I want to know, if somebody else clicked on my model? I don't want to add views by myself.

yes, It happens with me also, in the next time Just click on your Profile Photo in the top right, then "my models " ... and you can check the number of viewers from there, Don't open the model page it will count as a new viewer every time you just refresh the page! , now if you don't open the model page again, and fine the number become 11, 12, 13...... (from my models), that is mean that you have new visitors.

A view counts on YouTube when: 1) it's a viewer-initiated intended play and 2) the video has been despammed by YouTube's algorithm. In other words, the video was played by a human on one device, and YouTube confirms it to be a legitimate view. More than that, there's a magic number of views: 300
