If you go 3d models -> car -> filter to newest, you will see ( of course if you know what to look for) that 9 out of 10 models is stolen either from video games or from other designers. So it isn't hard to realize that if you post a project 9 out of 10 people will try to sell you stolen work. This is what most people who do business here realized long time ago, so one of the way to avoid thieves is by "using" trusted designers by asking on the forum, because community very well know who is thief and who isn't.
Yes, I am learning that very quickly here. It's rather sad and a waste of time even attempting with some of these "designers".
Real designer won't damage his/her reputation no matter what, most of those people make a living out of it, so no one is crazy to jeopardize good established bussines for couple of bucks. The problem is that nowdays, here on cgt everyone is a "designer", some of them are so professional, so that now and then they come to the forum asking how to deal with some begginer/basic stuff and on the other end presents themselves as someone who have years of expirience. Most of them are just thieves and opportunists who tries to earn quick buck without sweating and that's it.
