I sell my 3d models in at least 4 different sites and cgtrader the best in every way for me, better margin of profit, better interface, support in several languages, better forum, better product analytics, etc.
Does anyone sell his\her models on both stocks: CGTrader & Turbosquid?
I mean same models for almost same time.
Can you tell about your experience?
On which place do you have more revenue\sales?
As I see, Turbosquid is more old and more popular, so there will be more sales, but CGTrader is more fast-growing and more loyal to sellers - so, I like this place more, but it seams CGTrader is not so popular yet. Any ideas about forecast?
Thank you.

I was selling only on TS in the SquidGuild for years, then both CGT and TS, now only on CGT and my sales/revenue are now roughly a double (2x) of what I was making on TS in the SG.
I was kicked for a little forum drama which was about that I have much more sales on CGT :D. And in the end they did me a great service with this ban since I started making even more money selling just here.
I was on Ts for meany years but now have set my account to non active, never felt comfortable with the 60% cut but compensated with higher prices on my models, then recently they made decision to cut down prices on my models to level them out with my prices set here.
To me the service has always felt unfair and then it became absolutely unfair.
CGtrader is everything Ts is not,
CGtader is fair, its open and communicative in all directions, its an inexpensive service, its new and more efficient, has lots of exiting tools, have more sales and get to keep bigger part, its growing fast, its updating and improving fast, etc, etc,….
Turbosquid is unfair, its a closed wall self protecting control freaking monopolistic driven factory, a fine tuned artist exploiting machine, its very expensive, its old and has not changed for years until now when its to late, sales is dropping, every supposed improvement is just another control freaking restriction, etc, etc,….
Anyways, impression CGtrader is not so popular is incorrect.
CGtrader has 4,25 million visits per month, it had to overcome Ts aggressive tactics and now they have break completely lose and are deeply rooted in global market.
The thing is, when you come in here as a new, you will most likely not immediately get past the people that came in here early and worked hard on good position, reputation and helping on growing this platform.
You most likely also need to put in this work before you can reap same fruits like them.
In conclusion I guess we could say that those who have chosen for short term gain and fell for Ts exclusive trap will to some extend lose what non exclusives have lost with supporting a new and better platform (non exclusives now get back what they lost then, exclusives now lose what they gained back then).
The way I see it is that CGtrader will always have a competitive edge, it simply is a better service, a nicer environment with better presentation tools etc., its also more affordable and this makes it possible to bring good price to the end user and at same time the artist still gets more from his work (less friction and more positive push forward on this platform).
I would say CGTradel is much better without a doubt. I sale about 10x less on TS than CGTrader and revenue is obviously horrible.
I wonder what are your experiences with some other websites? Where outside of those two websites do you sell and how is it going?
I am selling for about 6 months, I had a couple of models from 2016, but I started uploading a lot at the end of 2017.
Thanks to everyone for sharing your experience.
I find CGTrader best for 3dmodellers too, and I hope this website will develop as good as it do until this time.
For me CGTrader makes more sales and more revenue. But it may be because most of my works are for 3d printing.
Turbosquid uploader uses Flash in 2018.
I prefer selling on CGTrader.
Recently, TS started to lower their prices, probably because they were losing sales to CGT's fairer pricing. I thought this was a little hypocritical since TS had *always* raised the prices of products to their "market value".
Then on top of the lower prices, they only pay a 40% cut unless you sell exclusively with them.
And like yaschan said, they still use Flash to upload files... even though Firefox and Chrome won't even allow Flash due to security issues. I have to use IE to upload files, which is becoming inconvenient.
Well, after almost one month selling on CGTrader I can say that I like CGTrader more than TS.)
I think CGTrader is the best one, maybe it's not so popular yet, but keeping in mind how fast it is developing - in soon future CGTrader will most popular of all.
