Congratulations to monart for winning weekly challenge of cgtrader.

Congratulations to Monart for winning weekly challenge of cgtrader. It's been a nice  experience to me  to see how people beat me by freaky rules. I uploaded almost 100 3d models to CGTRADER but that were not enough to win this game. Each model was prepared properly to publishing and has potential to sale. Beside this the winner didn't spend any effort for winning the game like a real 3d artist should do if he/she wants to sale the model. I am afraid to see this web page going to be full with trash 3d models. If you think free and less quality 3d models will improve this web pages incomes you are completely wrong in my opinion. With all my good wishes to CGTRADER be careful with this poor idea. If you give up quality you will lose customers. I am wondering  who would want to search proper 3d model in the ocean of trashes?

Hey Seyhan, I see your concern in this case. The reason monart won is that he is a new user at CGTrader, and we are giving more reputations points (bonus) to newly registered users. If they upload a model or do another action, they get much more reputation points at first. This of course lasts only for firsts actions done on CGTrader, and in this case monart gathered more points with the help of bonus given by reputation system.

We are now looking deeply at reputation system and weekly challenges and will prepare an update of these features very soon.

Could you please tell me what bad do you exactly see in weekly challenge or reputation system? What should be changed in your opinion?

Thanks for you word and I'll stick around to look for your comments.

What is the opportunity? Tell me which one is a better opportunity: a) Having $50000 to support your works! b) Having a small amount of money but you have knowledge of many customers buying! A few days before I read your blog there you telling us how to improve our incomes by selling 3d models. So we know how to improve our sales, but there are some one still lazy to prepare proper images and files to publish their 3d models. And they still populating the web page with simple objects that are already made before. ( I didn't meant all of us. ) I asked to someone what is your goal? The answer " to earn money "! Can you tell me how can I earn money here If I have to buy 5 credits to publishing my items on cgtrader while my maximum price were 5 dollar? It's not matter reputation points. Set this how you would want! If there is a race the rules must be equal to everyone. Everyone crawling before walk and run. Some of them can do better if you teach them how to.
