cnc set up with stl files

Guys dont shoot me , i guess the best way to an answer has gota be here . Im using a cnc router and wondering when i purchase an stl file are the feeds and speeds and cutters required within the program when loaded into my v carve software , im thinking it may be a guessing game or time to up my knowledge
