Yep, that's cool for them :)
Hi guys,
I saw that CGTrader decided to release a coupon (Happy) which can obviously be a good thing for customers.
So... customers.. hurry up !!! :D
Yep, that's cool for them :)
I don't like it. 3D Export liked to do discounts and the sales sucked there. Mass discounts just make the site look cheap IMO.
How those discounts works? Will seller get regular amount of money or will he get less if hes model will be bought at discounted price? If latter, does seller has an option to opt out from mass discount program?
I'm sure it's just the 20% cut that would otherwise go to CGT. But again, that's just a cheap trick. When they lowered the royalty rates by 10%, I was expecting something more sophisticated in advertising, but instead they are using the money to attract low paying one-time customers. Very disappointing.
I sold model yesterday during happy hour. On my side i got all of the money from my royalties like model was sold at full price. So i guess only CG trader cuts of their share of profit during this kind of discount events. So really cool initiative by them.
@Pumper, for sure it would be dissapointing if that's the only trick in their sleeves, but i hope they have something bigger in their minds, just don't disclosing it to us (yet?). CGT has very active blog with lots of interesting stuff posted every week, but for some strange reason most important info about improvements in site doesn't get there. They should start to self advertising more IMHO.
@tomislavveg, how do you know that your product was sold with coupon or not? The fact that you get full price doesn't say much on its own.
