Perfect Ambient Occulsion Maps in Substance Painter - the easy way.
1. load your finished model in your 3d software and save it as a door_1.fbx
(with material channel and UV's)
2. shift the model and memory as door_2.fbx
(the parts that overlap)
3. load door_2.fbx in substance painter and create the bake mesh maps in Texture set settings
4. go to Edit - > Project Configuration and load door_1.fbx
(leave the default settings)
5. Finished:)
This trick is applied to Substance Painter 7.1.
