Refunds

Discussion started by aspec

People bought my 3d model.

However, there was a 3D file error. There was an incorrect display inside.

I corrected 3d model.

But the funds from my account have disappeared !!

Return my money!

If the buyer found an issue with the model and then applied for a refund they are entitled to have that money back if there was an issue with the model they paid a lot of money for.

Hi there,

The refund was issued due to model not satisfying the customer. The model preview images did not match the model itself.

I corrected 3d model. With the buyer we solved the problem directly. The buyer was provided with a new 3D model corrected

Then it's probably you were booted by the buyer. You have to sort things with buyer before refund. If refund was already issued, you have no obligations for the buyer and everything you sent him can be considered as donation. I think your only option now, is to try to contact the buyer and ask him to pay you, either directly to your paypal, or by buying your model again. If he will refuse to do that, then you have to blame only yourself.

Your system is not thought out.
Why make a full refund without warning?
It would be possible to freeze the money for a while.

Hi Eddie,
I have a customer trying to download one of my models that he purchased. I've tried emailing the .zip to him, but I believe he had a problem with that too and now I've uploaded individually extracted .obj and .mtl files and asked him to try downloading them. I think the issue is file size and download bandwidth limitations on his ISP. The .zip is 16 MB and the .obj is 81 MB. I'm not having a problem downloading, extracting or loading the model. It seems fine for me.

I don't think he will be able to successfully download or receive the model by email. Is there anything you can advise? How can I direct him to the refund process? Thanks for advising.
