Preparing model for upload and sale.

Discussion started by camillus-mvi

I am an intermediate level Blender user. I just uploaded a model but I'm not sure if I did it right. Am I supposed to upload the entire Blender file or just the object?

Do I include any uv mapped textures as separate files or is there a way to include it in the Blender file? Some 3D model sites have more complicated requirements for uploads, including certain software used to optimize the model. Can someone post a check-list simply outlining what I need to do? That would be greatly appreciated.

I have uploaded my models i have included the texture map and the normal maps , specular. , Other wise the user would have to create there own maps to get the final outcome. I would upload the maps if you want the user to have the same model advertised.

To make my models ready for upload. I pack all the texture in the blender file. But I also provide the textures in a zip.

if you want to make a game asset do you have to triangulate the model.
