Need Help with Model Visibility and Sales

Discussion started by saharmadarshahi

Hello everyone!

I have been a member of this site for about a year, and I have uploaded 80 models so far. I upload new models every few days in different styles, but unfortunately, I have noticed a significant decrease in the views of my models recently, and I haven’t made any sales for several months.

Could you please guide me on what I should do? Should I give up, or should I be patient and continue?

Thank you for any advice or help you can provide!

Think about this - the number of customers is remaining more or less the same, or increase marginally over the years and at the same time the number of models is increasing rapidly, especially nowadays, when many sellers are "producing" worthless AI generated models by hundreds per day. There simply not enough visitors to view, yet alone buy your models. When i started selling models here 10 years ago, each published model was getting 50-60 views on the first day, when i publish a model now, it gets 15 views in 18 months. It doesn't matter that the quality of my new models is 10 times better, nobody buys them, because nobody sees them. Instead people are still buying older crappier models, because they've gathered more views and have higher rankings in search results. If you started your journey just recently, you have little chance to be very successful, unless you're exceptionally talented and are advertising your models like crazy on every social platform. C'est la vie.

There are many projects on "Freelance on CGTrader" list that require custom models of jewellery. If you're skilled in jewellery design, you might consider applying on some freelance projects. This will not boost your sales but you may boost your earnings.
Even I'm not jewellery designer, I was hired for some projects in that field of modeling.
CGTrader is not only about selling models. Freelancing can get you much more earnings.

Thank you for your guidance. Yes, I have taken action in the projects section. However, the competition is extremely high, and some of the prices set for the projects are very low (the initial prices they set for the projects are not realistic at all).

Thank you for your response. You mean that I should explore topics outside of jewelry, such as home decor design, clothing design, and models for games and characters.

Just about everything category is overpopulated with models, but it wouldn't hurt to have different subjects other than jewelry. Perhaps one of your other categories is having an upswing in interest.

Jewelry is a category that has tens of thousands of models. Perhaps try to diversify into another subject that interests you.
