If you want the texture to work under E3D you should bake the object with textures, then export in obj, import the obj in E3D, then manually import your new baked texture map in E3D and apply it.
I'm not the biggest 3d model dude - I downloaded 2 3d models in fbx which I really want converted over to obj so I can play around with it in Element 3D.
The problem is I can't get the textures to work, and I don't know how to convert to obj. Can anyone help me out? If so let me know, then I'll link the 3D models

I'm converting the model using Blender or Maya or CINEMA 4D. Or ZBrush is all easy
I can help you convert it to the format you need, but keep in mind that there are many factors that can make it not work well in your 3D model.
