Hello community,
Got a question for ya. Okay so I've uploaded my 3D models here and about a month ago my hard drive with all my 3D work has been corrupted (-_-) and thus I have lost a good majority of my works. I had a few backuped, but I didn't have all of them.
I remembered uploading a couple here on CGTrader and was wondering if there was a way to download them for myself again?
If anyone knows a way to do this please help. Thank you!!

I think there should be a place for the owners of models to download their models without temporarily price their models for free. Sometimes, when I asked to revise any sold model and I don't have my computer with me, I apply temorarily pricing method but I believe it is not good. On My Products section, I must have another button nearby each model, which will give download option for the owner/modeller of the model.

i also think u should make it free for some time and download and then again set price for models

Etsy platform has this. This would be really useful . I need that download button.
this is done so, you make your 3D model free for a short period of time and download it as a buyer, and then return it to paid access again, and hope that while you download no one has time to download for free))

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
If you want to download your own model files - go to the editing page of the exact model you want to download, and at the bottom of the page tick the box that says share for free and then click on save.
After the download, please go back to the model and put the price back on so no one else could download your model for free.

Thanks for the reply, currently we are using the way that you have described but it is not the efficient and the correct way we expect. Instead of checking and making the product for free for a short time, it will be better not to do something like that and it will be better to have a button in Edit mode to download the product without affecting the price on the user side. Maybe there is low possibility but in any case, there is a possibility that while we were trying to download our product, a potential customer enters the page and see the product as free. It won't be a hard process to add a button to editing page to download our product whenever we want without making it free even for a short time.

I believe, adding such a button to edit page for each model won't be a hard process for the developer team of the CGTrader
We are entering the "My Models" section of the account via authentication, and as far as I understand, you are using React or Nextjs, you may make the download button visible to the authenticated person, as far as I believe "My Models" section of my account is only visible for me :)). And adding this process to the page won't be hard via React and/Nextjs

According to many of the opinions, we should be able to download our own models.
In my case, in 5 years I have only needed it a couple of times, but it would have been great to be able to do it in a simple way.
As the previous message says, 5 years have passed since this post was created and they have not implemented that option. Can we wait for her?
Personally I think that cgtrader is changing, I don't know if we can expect more improvements or it's just a face lift, but in my experience cgtrader is the only platform that really gives results and in which one can make constant money, so maybe just this need more time.
Also, now you can submit your requests on a Discord server, maybe doing it there is now more effective, in any case that cgtrader has invested in that server is a good sign, and we can do that from it.

I found myself if you make it free your model than you can download .then make changes reupload again will solve problem.

I join the voices of dissent here. I have just been asked by a client to do a small change to a model, and I am away from home for a few days. Meaning I only have my laptop without the external storage or backup disks which have the files. I don't understand why this has not been changed. Honestly.

nice after all this year and still they didnt fix this but this is good to know they had time to fix the most important issue we had : extra payout options
now we had only one thanks so much , this is absoloooootly for our own sake and not cgtrader only , I feel soo happy that can stay in this dumb place
