Create C4D materials from FBX textures

Discussion started by teliocide

I purchased a 3d model in FBX format>
As is very often reported FBX texture do not import
So now I have the task to create the C4D materials from the FBX textures

The problem is I am unsure where to put the FBX textures in C4D material
C4d material has many channels and and in each channel the textures can be employed in many different ways

All the textures are in the following image

I hope someone can tell me where to place them in a C4D material

Thanks

Greg

Thanks 3DCargo It quickly became apparent that this will not work with the version of C4D I work with being R18

It also depends on your render engine. This is just a guide so the method also applies to Vray/Corona and other modern render engines in C4D. If you are using the built in render engine then you would have to approach it differently but the textures can be used as a base and you can adjust to suit.

Thanks again
I only have the inbuilt C4D rendering option.
When trying to build the material, many of the channels shown in your link do not exist in my versions of C4D
