Can I use PBR textures downloaded from the internet?

Discussion started by THE3DRENDERTR

Hello, can I use the PBR material coatings that I downloaded for free from the internet in my modeling work? Or do I have to create the skins entirely myself?

It depends on the license of the pbr material in question. Check this, should help you: https://www.textures.com/faq-license

The adress is right, if you read it carefully, it clearly states what can and can't be done with pbr materials find on the internet, other thing is that you are obviously expecting someone to elaborate this for you, wich takes time and most people doesn't want to waist their time on things like this.

Hello there,

You can use the materials distributed under the CC0 (Public domain) license.
All other licenses provide for some restrictions and prohibitions.

Regards.
