Good Morning ,

I have a war memorial wall in my house , with photos , my medals , etc.

Since retiring and looking for a hobby , i found some lovely art , in 3d , some free , some purchased.

Ihave been learning a small ammount on the internet abou 3d printing , and my question is.....

Do the files , i have , go directly into the printer software and print ?

The photos of the finished prints look amazing , is this the way they will turn out when printed ?

What inexpensive printers would you reccomemend just for starting and hobby ?

Thank you

john

"The photos of the finished prints look amazing , is this the way they will turn out when printed ?" -- NO. Always finishing is needed. But it's not a problem, because every way of production (additive or subtractive, modern or classic etc) contains finishing operations.

"What inexpensive printers would you reccomemend just for starting and hobby ?" -- At first (in hobby class) you must choose technology you want/need: FDM or/and DLP/SLA. Today on the market are present a lot of affordable 3d-printers. You can find a bunch of useful information (Reviews, feedbacks, howto's etc.) on all3dp.com site.
