Selling Textures

That's a good idea as textures are as important as the colorless models i think!
Nevertheless - there are some different, non 3D Marketplaces, websites where textures can be sold. Maybe you can sell yours there until there is a category for textures here.

Maybe the category would have its own options to tick what the Materials supports like:

"Albedo/Diffuse, Normal, Displacment, AO-map" The artists / customer could easier tell quality and content of the package.

Would be nice to have official response to this matter...

It would be great to have such a category, I have built many collections of textures that I would love to sell from the same platform. Just having one category extra shouldn't be a big deal and as a plus side, it helps 3d generalists to realize the importance of great texture maps.
