Try term kitbash on CGtrader and then on Turbosquid, now we almost have reverse results.
Maybe use more specific keyword combinations like truck engine, car engine, motorcycle engine, boat engine, spaceship engine, electric engine, etc. Now you also gonna get some trucks popping up, maybe some cars when you ask for car engine, etc., so still not perfect but it narrows your search a bit down to what you need to have.
Its possible by now CGtrader library is bigger then Ts so more hits on single terms, combined with artists not very thoughtful about the tags they enter (probably CGtrader needs to consider to moderate that a bit more).
Turbosquid is also not completely void of that problem.
Notice the pants when entering term kitbash, why would one enter tag “kitbash” for some pants?
Also consider Ts has mostly exclusive sellers, its library will not grow as fast as CGt because most artist are aware now there are better alternatives for selling. They need to pay 60% to Ts if they do not go exclusive with them, so consider Ts library stuck in time. They can manage to moderate what they have now, it will grow very little. CGt on other hand is growing very fast, its probably not manageable to moderate everything that's coming in now (probably even the new stuff from those Ts exclusives).
Anyways, it remains relevant to search the different websites because not all websites have same content. For example, Ts has exclusive content, but most artists that are not exclusive with them are not there anymore, you can find most of them here now.
