About Message Response Times

Discussion started by madefun3d

Hi,

I have the following questions about private messages, and how they affect one's Average Response Time:

1. If you are engaged in a back and forth conversation with a buyer via private messages, do you always have to have the last word?

I mean if the conversation is over, and the buyer sent the last message just saying "Thank you, good bye", do I have to answer back in order to not affect my Response Time?

2. I wish there was a way to dismiss messages that are not requesting any information, without necessarily having to answer them. For example I recently receive a couple of messages from the same user with literally one word: "Good". I didn't bother answering when I saw them, and now I realized they have affected badly my Average Response Time. Another option would be to explicitly remind you that you should answer the message before leaving, no matter how simple it is.

3. And what about official CGTrader messages or announcements? some of them have a note saying: "P.S. Not replying to this message will not affect your Response statistics.", but others dont...

Anyway,

I guess from now on I am answering everything! haha!

Regarding your first question, i think only the time for first response is counted, similarly like with response rate. Further conversation in the same thread, is not taken into account.
