6.0 - The Schrodingers score of CGT

Discussion started by Danreit

Is ur score half positive, or half negative?

I've also noticed the score acts strange at times, I recently changed the filetype of my pictures and lost 0.1 score to it.

I suspect these scores come from different types of assets - cgtrader has different score thresholds for regular models, 3d print models and textures.

Intresting! They are both 'various'. One is lowpoly marked while other is not, among other differences. The lowpoly one is red, that could perhaps be it.

Don't stress too much about the scores, they have little influence on sales. My lowest scored asset with 3,9 score sells much better than any of my highest scored assets which all have north of 9,5 scores. Customers couldn't care less about scores, they need a product that fulfills their requirements at a reasonable price.

I never discovered a correlation between scores and sales in the past. My items with a 9.5- 9.9 don´t sell at all on CGT, not once.
Also, my texture packs (another account) have a score of 4.9 or 5.0..... because no meshes in hundreds of formats and no native file is included, because... they are textures.
So, scores are totally overestimated and do not follow rationality (see the textures example above) . What counts are sales only.
