Some Malicious Customers

Discussion started by shadedancer619

Hi everyone.

Well. I have been thinking on an issue for a while. It's all about the customers incomprehension for the products that they never understand the modeling process. They can give NEGATIVE RATEs immidiately and never think about compromise for the issue again. We never deserve this. They have no idea about 3D softwares or they all malicious people. Do they read the descriptions? Do they look at the preview images? Maybe!

They sometimes want you to improve or change things as their wishes. Yep, you satisfy their requests, no problem. But they never rate you POSITIVE again and you find a NEGATIVE score on your board.

Is it that easy? Take and use my model somehow and denigrate it with pleasure, woowww. This is an issue in need to solve. How the CGtrader team develops some prevention for this issue? I do not know.

Same problems with you? Tell me what to do?

Thanx!

My observation of other artists ratings is that statistically more negative rating are on the cheaper products. So probably amateurs which are preferreing lower prices are more probable to give negative rating than same professional which buys expensive (or adequatelly priced) product - yes if the expensive product is trully bad then professional can give also negative rating - but in most cases it is from amateurs I think so in other words I agree with you.
Probably the only solution is to more concentrate or compex and expensive products. ))))

Hi.

You are right. My models which are over $29 have more sales than the cheaper ones and were liked so much by the people. If I sale a model less than $10 or $5 it means that the model deserves this price, not more. I never want a big price on a simple model and the truth is what you hinted at "DO NOT SALE THE CHEAP".

I'm going to think about this seriously. Thanx a lot.

On a different site I once had a customer give me a negative rating because they didn't understand that they were supposed to use 3D objects in a separate software to render their own images. I have no idea what this customer thought he/she was buying.

This site had an appeals process and I was able to get the negative review expunged. I image that if CGT had a similar process then they would get inundated with requests, and some just hopefuls trying to get a legit negative rating removed. CGT don't seem to have that sort of a staff level to handle this, but I really can't see there being any other way of handling it.

Looking on my experience in communication with CGT support I concluded they don't have skilled staff in CGT team. They simply can't (or they are too lazy) analyze models right way.

Ok! The CGTrader team has just solved the problem. They deleted the negative rating. This is the huge support from them. Thanks a lot.
