Parts for Welding Helmets

Discussion started by tuscon14

Hi

Very new to the 3d printing world but Im also a foreman in a welding shop. I have fifteen welders in my shop and almost all of them have different welding helmets and head gear. My problem is trying to find replacement parts for lesser known gear. The bits and pieces get damaged frequently and I was wondering if anyone made models of these parts considering the enormous community of designers. I cant seem to find anything here. If someone does design these parts could you point me in the right direction? Also I know Im not the only one with this problem so it might be a moneymaker for some enterprising designer

Thanks

Just got a quick question,

Whenever I weld, afterwords, I see spots like everywhere and my eyes hurt just a tiny lil bit. I don't think the darkening part of the helmet is properly working. Its an OLD ass helmet thingy and all its got is a plastic dark piece on it with some wire mesh around the rest of the helmet.

So anyways, can the darkening 'pieces' go bad?!

No but they come in different shades. Look at the shade number if its a 12 it might be to light for what you are welding. Try a number 10 lense.
