I want to make money from 3D modelling

Discussion started by BurakBALCI

I'm sorry I'll bother, I'm actually new to modelling, I've been using blender for 2 years, but I'm still a beginner and I'm still learning and I want to make this job my profession, what can you advise me to learn this job and I wonder if you can make money from this job? If it can be earned, this question will be a bit special, but how much is the average monthly or annual income of a 3D Artist like you?

If you need money, find another job. Considering your progress over two years, it will take at least another 10 years (or more) to start making good money (and only on condition that all planned changes in the industry for this period would be completely canceled i.e. it's all a waste of time).

If you're planning on making a career of this, I'd rethink that idea. There are thousand upon thousands of artists out there that are all fighting for a piece of the action. If you want to make a few dollars on the side doing this as a hobby, then 3D skills are nice to learn, but for the amount of time you have to invest to learn the software and skills, you can do a number of other things that can make you more money. There is also an AI threat looming, that possibly has the ability to put countless artists out of a job. No use in investing energy into a career that may not exist in a few years. This wouldn't be the first time that a career has been replaced by a computer or automation.

It's absolutely not worth hoping just for such platforms.
Cgtrader, like Turbosquid, is such a platform where the competition is very high.
In addition, the sales rate here is very poor.

But you don't have to give up. You have to upload the models to all 3D stocks.

Good luck, buddy.
