I want to know is it because my works are not good so few people pay attention to them and buy them?

Discussion started by indoorX

It’s been two months since I uploaded my work, but my overall sales feel like they haven’t changed much.
I am happy to share some models for everyone to use, and I hope to gain some benefits.
It feels like the flow of people has decreased recently. Is there something wrong with my model? If there's anything wrong, hopefully someone can tell me and I can make some adjustments.

- Your models are very good!
- the prices are far too low for this quality.
- You only offer Corona models plus support (fbx, obj, etc). This will lower your market exposure, Vray is still the most popular in archviz.
- Are your fbx/obj formats converted from Corona to Std so that people using blender/sketchup etc can use them with the correct materials/textures?
- If I was to be picky I would say your pillows/fabrics need a bit of work, they dont look like real fabrics - gravity/wrinkles/shape
- You only have 44 models so you will see more change of sales over time, for me every year doubled (2x) in sales, so it takes time, patience and keep adding more content. It's hard to judge when you have less than 50 models for sale so my advice is be patient, keep up the good work and quality, and you will see results eventually. It's not going to replace your job until you get at least 1,000 models so you need to keep track of your analytics and build stuff that sells well. It can be hit and miss in this space so as long as you are on top of the trends, what's in demand and know what people are looking for you are going to succeed.

Also I've noticed a lot of GLB downloads lately, this would also be a benefit. FBX/OBJ are also quite popular so make sure that those exchange formats work correctly in all software. If you have exported them directly from Corona without changing the materials to Standard/Physical Autodesk formats without testing them in blender to work correctly then I'm afraid you will get lots of refunds since those should work correctly in any 3d software.

Thank you for your suggestion. Thank you for your willingness to give me such professional guidance without ever meeting me. This makes me feel that there are still many shortcomings and areas for improvement. This also gives me confidence in my work. At first, I thought maybe my model wasn't good enough for people to choose. Now I believe that by continuing to improve my model and accumulate some numbers, more people can enjoy my work. I hope to communicate with you on more professional improvements in the future.

I'm here almost for a year and still my models aren't selling well. So do not worry. Just continue to do your job and believe one day you will become one of best selling 3D artists.))

Well, it seems like I have a little less time and less work. I hope if I keep at it, I can see more people enjoy my work. I believe you too can be a best-selling artist.

I downloaded one of your free models to check it out.

Pluses:
• Model itself looks very nice.
• Subdivisible

Minuses:
• Textures are just flat/diffuse textures, no normal, spec, roughness maps etc
• No names on textures, so it takes forever to import the FBX into Blender and place the textures.
> Nothing worse than a nice looking model that´s either impossible to work with or wastes your time.
• Studio/environment included: Could be a plus, but I´m not sure why it would be needed.
• Imports with everything upside down (possibly an export issue)

SUGGESTIONS
• Fix textures
• Fix import issue
• Consider making Blender version
• Increase prices about 100% in general when above is fixed.

Hope this is of use :)

Due to physical reasons some time ago, I didn't see the message and reply in time. I'm very sorry. When importing the lighting studio produced by 3DMAX, the studio is left behind. Looks like I still need to do some tweaking and checking on some formatting. I will also pay attention to these problems in the future and try to avoid the occurrence of these problems. Thank you very much for your advice
