Fraudulent purchases

I don't know about you guys but I have my ONLY last 4 purchases refunded due to fraudulent credit cards used. I don't sell a lot here compare to other sites but all my sales since Sept till yesterday got refunded. Unbelievable.

Some fraudulent purchases occured for me too. They sent me an e-mail about fraudulent credit cards and how they are working to hinder this. But they have to do it soon or I will remove all models. If they are not be able to provide enough security they should disable credit card purchase.

That's weird, I don't get any notifications at all. During the online chat, I was asked for my email, which I gave. After the suspected purchase got refunded which I found out 1 day later, I still did not receive any notification. Likewise for the 3 refunded purchases prior to this last one.

I was online chatting with online support 2 days ago regarding my suspicion on my very last purchased item to be fraudulent like the previous 3 purchases and the online support assured me credit frauds has been greatly reduced. The next day, that purchase got refunded.

I hope that is true. CGTrader is trying something new for both buyers and sellers. Of course credit card is usefull for purchasing because everyone does not have paypal. But security issues must be solved immediately. I hope there will be no fraudulent purchases in the future because it is really annoying and upsetting for sellers.

Before the payment system got changed, I never did encounter such scams. Now, with this new system (well, not new actually, but became similar as other 3D online store payment system) I got scammed with 4 fraudulent purchases in a row.

Hi 3dken,

I'm really sorry to hear about those fraudulent purchases.

The good news is - we've recently installed the Braintree security system- it is safer and will definitely decrease the fraudulent purchases and there won't be a lot of refunds anymore.

When was the Braintree security system installed? My last refund was on 31st Oct. I alerted the online chat support on the 30th Oct.

Hi 3dken, I saw your situation, it really is unpleasant. The Braintree system was installed at the end of July and it really diminished the fraudulent purchases by a big margin. It's actually very strange to see 4 (well, it's more like 3, because one user tried to buy it twice) fraudulent purchases on your account. The good news is your models haven't been downloaded on those occasions. I can assure you that it won't be happening so often in the future. The Braintree system have limited fraudulent purchases and the security is working better than before. All the best, Eduardas

End July? My fraudulent nightmare started Sept. One Sept scam buyer did buy twice but its on 2 different models as far as I can see and together with a different buyer name who bought another model which comes to a total of 3 bogus sales in Sept 2015. Oct 30th, I got another sales after inflating the price and immediately went on chat to warn and the next day, that transaction turned out to be fraudulent too.

Another purchase done and downloaded on 2nd Nov, even at a considerably inflated price and no counter offer was even made. Hope this is legit, else, it would be very disappointing again. Could you verify the legitimacy of my last sale on the 2nd Nov 2015?

P/S: Buyer account was created the same date as purchase. Highly suspicious though possible.

So far, still not refunded for the 2nd Nov sale. Hope it stay that way till payment day.

Hello,

My last three sales have been refunded recently because of "fraudulent transaction" reason. So i won't be paid anything for them. However, the files were already downloaded for all three models, which is perfectly seen in my report.
Could you take a look and tell me how this problem can be solved?

Currently, we have way more strict purchasing policy than before, so fraudulent transactions will be eliminated.
