Can I hide my model from my shop?

Discussion started by skapricorn

How to hide model from sales without deleting it?

Why we lost ability to delete our models by ourselves? Why we need to ask Support about it?

How can I trust to CGtrader (or anybody else) that my model was really deleted?

I know, that my models have some value mainly (or only) for me. But today's fucking trendy words "Data is the new Oil" have some sense...

If you don't see the delete option, you probably signed up for Analytics.
And yes, a "Hide" option would be handy...

Hm... I don't understand how and why useless (at least for me) toy called Analytics can be linked with possibility or impossibility of managing my own models in my own shop. I think that here is some big lack somewhere in system or in terms and conditions. At some point I wanted to get acces to my statistics. And risen my average publishing score to 8. There was couple stupid conditions as "Add more file formats" or "Compose as much of possible foggy description words" or "Add more spammy pictures". And when I entered into "Analitycs", I realized that my thoughts was in vain. Maybe Analitycs is very useful for LP/PBR, Arch-viz modelers or for generalists, but not for people making 3d-printable models for production. And now on unclear way I can not remove my models. It's one more evidence that CGT cares not about quality of models nor about artists (freelancers and sellers), but only about amount of TRAFFIC and storing data (probably just for getting more investitions from big daddies)

Yeah, most likely you signed up for Analytics and didn't read: https://www.cgtrader.com/pages/cgtrader-analytics-terms-of-service . If you don't use it you should ask support to opt out . As far as I understood it was made like that as a response to TS best price guarantee move.

"... it was made like that as a response to TS best price guarantee move..."
Analytics does not limit or affect prices.

My 2 cents:
Sites often offer somewhat higher percentage rate if you agree to keep your assets there for a certain amount of time. I think Analytics is CGT's version to do that......without the offering part.
I could be wrong...

Analytics doesn't affect pricing, but if your models are locked here for 12 months you can not become TS exclusive for that period.

I guess we can count that as self defense :)

Got reply to my ticket from CGT support: "We can suspend it for you."
Disgusting.
Unacceptable.
Don't want to say more, because my speech about it can't be polite.

I don't get it where does your anger comes from? When you signed for analytics, you've read in terms and conditions that you agree to keep your models in cgtrader for at least 12 months. So what's the problem? CGT don't even force you to keep every single model, if you want to remove one or another model for some reason, they would gladly help you.

As usually "Never read petite" :))) But anyway it's disgusting. (And this fact show DISadvantage of so called "analytics")
