Buyers blackmail

Discussion started by ivangolota

The buyer of the 3d-print model gave me a negative rating for my refusal to provide him with a free spline-source file for this model in 3dm. Tell me if I am obligated to provide such a source-file for free to the buyer, if I did not promise to do this in the description of the lot? Since the girl in the support is lost and can not judge.

Hi,

Sellers are not obligated to provide the source file or format conversion in general, however, product support from sellers is highly encouraged as it builds a positive relationship between customers and designers.

I did not refuse the patient with support, checked STL, asked how I can help, then it turned out that he just needed a source-model for free modifications

You tortured me with this rascal blackmailer. Is it really impossible to take away from him the opportunity again and again to put me an undeserved negative rating. In annoyance, I deleted this model to hell.
Here is this blackmailer. He

he begs for discounts before purchase, send the git away

it would be useful to create a blacklist of intolerable buyers-pests destroying the atmosphere of sincerity on the site

I would strongly advice against giving away source files. It's a very bad idea. If customer wants modifications to the model, he may just hire you for commissioned job.

Of course. The source file allows you to make a full size range of rings, say. And it costs more, I wrote this boy.

The main thing is, if it is impossible to find a governing on such an extortioner of the source file, then the motivation to fight for a good rating is reduced, because you understand that it is not always a negative thing that is deserved. Sometimes a negative review is used as a means of blackmail.

Just put your source file for sale at a fair exorbitant price and link/direct him to that to purchase.

They did remove - after checking the model - this indefatigable recurring negative rating in the support, for which I am grateful.

i have bought many items here and no one exept this person when i bought something - send 3-5 variants of 3d model formats to save . And i think is very strange to sell one model for each saving format separately - its look like a fraud. Seller dont give cheap price for models - it is normal, but if you buy something you may ask format convertion fot fre (there is option on site).
Думаю, здесь многие русскоговорящие. Одним словом не буду больше связываться с этим продавцом.

This buyer gave me a negative rating for my refusal to give 3dm-source code at no additional cost Although he bought a 3D print model of a certain size and it was clearly stated in the description. My models are not cheap because I modify them myself and many of them have a completely unique original design. Including - the model bought by this impudent buyer. Against such demands, which indicate that the buyer is lazy and does not read that he is buying, he will have to answer that the original model is lost, they say, sorry. Then there will be no negative. I wish the buyer good luck with my unique design for this negative rating. Let him add a lot of corresponding karma for his "justice" and "wisdom",
