I asked around my group of friends and I was right. This character is a robot from Iron Man 2, called the Hammer Drones and it's definitely copyrighted material.
Hi all,
I recently bought a super cheap model here because it looked cool, and I wanted to use it on a game I'm making. Upon opening the model, I noticed that it looks a little too good to be true. Did I just buy a model that was ripped from a game?
This is the model in question. It looks familiar, but I'm not sure from where. https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/electronics/com...
And this is the seller: https://www.cgtrader.com/3danax
His stuff looks so all over the place that I wouldn't be surprised if everything is just ripped from games or other libraries.

But before you blame you should compare the mesh model.
Although the price is suspiciously low, it is worrying

its what append when you buy a crap model at a crap price... at the end you pay and loose your money
Hello there,
Thanks for the report. The model was suspended, the buyer has received a refund for that purchase, and our support team will undergo an investigation of designer's other assets.
