Two months without sales.

Discussion started by AwlArts

Hello all! It's been two months since I've had a single sale. Prior to that, sales were also at a very low level. Perhaps stylized models are not in demand on CGTrader? Or did I set the prices incorrectly, or am I not doing enough high-quality assets? I will be glad to any constructive criticism!

Something is happening. I have got a sudden drop in sales and activity in both markets. Maybe it has to do with summer or the economy in general.

Think your models are very niche my friend! I get your idea but with some of your model it is something that someone could create or re-create quickly enough for themselves without to much fuss meaning it doesn't save them time/money! Perhaps you could try and create a world or land which these models can exist in if ya get my drift then you can create more collections/packs which will hopefully bring in the bucks for you. Also link you models to other external sources and sites so that they are more discoverable when someone searchs on the net! Good luck my friend keep going, practising and developing your skills and it will come!

I'm not a 100% on this but I think things generally slow down in the creative world during the summer months but also there is something else to consider is the rise of AI generated models which is beginning to gain traction in a big way!

Maybe a combo of the already mentioned. And to add to the list maybe, this whole new verification thing?

Do you think that there is a direct correlation between the model verification score and its visibility in the search at the site?

That verification thingy doesn't affect sales, trust me, none of my model pass the verification, but i still got sales somehow

AwlArts: Yeah why not. It's surely possible.
