Thanks Joseph,
I always see allot of other greater inspiring works outside of that of my own.
That kind of humbles me and reminds me there's always plenty of room for improvement.

I advise you to take the time to play around with the settings in the advanced tab. You can open 3D connexion settings from the icon in the windows tray. Go to advanced settings on the last tab. The sliders and reverse options are very important settings. These settings allow you to adjust every direction and input sensitivity. If those are setup correctly then navigating feels like second nature. There is also a very important tab specific to the 3D application you are running. Most of the time you access it by clicking one of the buttons on the device while running the application. Some applications have put the tab somewhere in the program itself. The options available depend on the application and how it is integrated. In 3ds max the integration is very well done, you get many option by clicking the left button on the device while the viewport is active. For instance options to either use free camera mode or target, set auto rotation point ore object mode etc. I mainly use "target camera mode" in combination with "use selected item" for rotation center. free camera is useful in some cases but is a bit harder to control. However after a minute ore 2 this is all is forgotten. I use free mode mainly to plot out a camera trajectories.
