Scaling of the plane and resolution of your texture matter.
If it's a seamless, repeating texture (e.g. for floor tiles / carpet) you could try to adjust tiling
("Surfaces" -> "Geometry" -> "Horizontal Tiles" / "Vertical Tiles") depending how you scaled the plane until you are happy.
If it's then still to blurry or you are not using a seamless texture (e.g. a picture) you'll need the texture in a higher resolution or scale down the plane.
(Your plane should have same proportions as your texture image of course)
