I have reported this guys stolen model originally made by Tiago Hoistel and mentioned that other models looks suspicious too. The problem is that people at cgtrader remove model only if you provide direct link to original one. I think cgtrader admins are just too forgiving for thieves. Those creatures should be banned after one or two definite proofs of their crime. But often it's not the case.

Guys, you should support artists, not the thieves.

Also if you spend I don't know how much hours modeling, texturing, rigging and packing your model for sale, I highly doubt that you just throw a line like "old man so cute" as description lol.

It seems to me that the models mentioned in the comments have been removed by CG tr team since almost none of the links lead to the actual models.( exept for the cowgirl model but the cowgirl that I get as a result is not the same as the one in the tutorial)

Hello there,

Yes, the models were removed and the users were banned until they can prove that the models were not stolen.

Thank you for reporting the models and for participating in our community - these topics as well as reporting do not go unnoticed!

All the best,

Eduardas

Is it worth to report stolen models via "report item" button in model's page? I mean does somebody looks into these reports? I have reported this model, which is clearly stolen from evermotion collection (vol 83, model 32) about week ago, yet model is still there, collecting free downloads. Does it always needs to be escalated publicly in order somebody would take care of it?

Hello LemonadeCG,

Our support team normally review the reported items in 24 hours. The users are banned unless/until they can provide the proof that the models were not stolen.

We have recently updated the report item feature but it seems as though there are some issues and we don't see every report by users. We're very sorry about this inconvenience and we will be fixing it ASAP.

In addition, if you see stolen model (or models, of course), you can send the email to info@cgtrader.com and our team will be dealing with the stolen models and users so there is no need to go publicly and the report item button should be fixed soon.

Thank you for contributing!

Eduardas, CGTrader
