the title pretty much said it all. did anyone experience something like that? what should we do?

As a member of the community I agree with the advice above. a DMCA takedown is the official way to handle the situation. Its a nasty thing to happen, I wish you the best of luck resolving it. Please let us know how it turns out - I have never had to file one but I am interested in hearing the results.

@selfix both sites have support/contact pages - you can try writing to them and explain the situation/send proof, etc.

I've seen printed models from CGTRADER and GUMROAD selling on Instagram. This is getting out of control.
