Recommendations for Promoting Models?

Discussion started by Lore-3D

Hello CGTrader community! I have a decent amount of models on my store but unfortunately they haven't sold as frequently as I have wanted. I recently updated some of my older models to boost sales, but at this point they aren't really getting a lot of views. Do any of you more experienced sellers have recommendations for promoting older models? Or just promoting models in general. I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations you may have for my store/products.

Maybe Showcase your model on youtube. Have a preview on your model page.

Increase the price to all items and collections.

Descriptions and previews looks fine.

Submit your works work to online portfolio:
https://artstation.com
https://cgsociety.org
https://behance.net

and upload the videos to Youtube (speed modeling/texturing/lessons/tricks/soft features)

Perhaps a little help Instagram and Facebook.

It might be worth changing the name. It's desirable that the name be unique.
Example: Cold Symmetry. For this request, on the first page of the search engine, only what concerns this studio is displayed.
If you enter request Empire-Assets, a lot of information that has nothing to do with your models is displayed on the first page. This is not good.

Good luck!

I participated in Community ratings program. This and also sales of models (which I deleted myself due to the renewal of my collection), likes and comments allowed me to get such a reputation. By the way, this reputation doesn't give any huge advantages.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've been hesitant to post on socials for a couple reasons, but that's something I've been meaning to get to. Out of curiosity, how do you feel about models with backgrounds? Most of my models have "themed" backgrounds, but I'm rethinking including them for customer visibility and personal convenience.

Such a "themed" background like yours (for example, like armor) looks very cool and professional. These backgrounds can and should be used as the main preview. On all the rest images, can use plain (the main thing is not absolutely black, white or acid tones).

You are missing beautiful high-quality close-up renders with weapons and armor. Nice models with good topology and textures, but unfortunately with boring presentations. Use depth of field, blurred backgrounds and feel free to show models from not only in standards projections. Dev Discords, Twitter, (Facebook is useless), Pinterest, own blog site, Youtube, get into other communities and casually show your wares nonchalantly when the chance arises. Linked-In, Reddit, anywhere you can.

Tout specific models in specific places, not just the link to all your models. If they visit one and like it, they will surely take a look at your others anyway.

Good luck!
