Some customers blackmail after buying the model to refund our money otherwise I will give negative rating.

How to deal with this problem?

Report it to support@cgtrader.com.

But if you give a poor or inaccurate description of your model, the customer will be upset, if its not as advertised. They are entitled to express their opinion. However, if the customer misreads the description, support "should" side with you.

Describe what your model is, give details of its construction. If there are, or not separate pieces, rigged connections, textures etc.

It's funny that the behavior pattern of thieves and spammers is almost always the same.

You might have much bigger problem than dealing with bad reviews...

When you're stealing and selling models from regular people, you will probaly be banned from market.
When you're stealing and selling models from big 3D modeling companies, you might get in serious legal trouble.

Of course it will be banned but I won’t be surprised if in a couple of days, week or month there will be a triumphant return with the same set of models but already with another nickname.

@jaguarBP: He will be banned for sure but my point was that he is messing up with big guys who have the ability to charge him and prosecute him for his (possible) continuous misbehaviour. This is not kid's play anymore. Have you ever heard of a band named Destruction? It's one of my favourite bands of '80. They have this song called Eternal Ban. I love it.
tobiasrieper wrote
@gjuroo He won't get into any trouble because the copyright claims are reported to cgt (it's cgt responsibility) and not to artist/thief himself. The worst thing that will happend to thief is ban and after some time (maybe the same day) he will be back. I don't know if you are familiar that even after ban you can register again with the same id and other information, only user name will be different. So what are we talking about ? The main reason why thing like this is happening is because cgt doesn't want to do anything to stop thieves to fill this site with stolen models. The things will change when someone really big start going after CGT for allowing selling stolen models and that would be proper fireworks. There are multiple ways to end this "selling stolen models" thing. Ask around why some of those ways (promised by cgt couple years ago) isnt implemented.

Well, it didn't take long to find. Another thief, a real big boss.
360 models with the last one uploaded a couple of days ago.

The insect pack on TS that you referred as the source, is almost certainly not original, but yet another stolen model. That pack is circulating on the warez sites since ages.

This doesn't change the fact that the model was stolen. Sometimes it’s almost impossible to find a real source because the source could be on website that no longer exists, or the author himself removed the model from his collection or updated the model and it already has a different mesh, texture, etc. I always try to find the very first real and unique author, but it is not always so easy. And in any case I never indicate as sources warez-sites even when it is obvious that the model was downloaded from there, and not from Evermotion, Squir or Hum3d sites, for example.

Fuck! Steal a model (https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/art/sculptures/skull-ornamental) that has been on sale here for many years, upload it here (https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/games-toys/game-accessories/printed-skull-bones-skeleton) and write in the description "Please do not distribute/resell and do not include them in any models/scenes that will be sold as serial models. Thank you.". ^_^ What do you think it can be called?

It looks like he decimated the mesh so IT'S HIS MODEL NOW. It's cheaper tho'. Ev'ry polygon counts.

His model? Maybe should give him a medal of honor for lowering the price and the number of polygons? It's not his model.

gjuroo, so you think that if you convert his mesh or decrease the number of polygons, it suddenly makes you the artist?

Did you try to even compare the pictures of the models before throwing such accusations? Those jewelry models are quite obviously different on the closer look. Hunting for thieves is a good thing and as community member i'm grateful for this, but please double check your "evidences" before accusing people in such crimes, you're potentially making big damage to someone's reputation.

As LemonadeCG suggests, think (and do your homework) before talk. I'll just say that I don't see myself as an artist but surely I'm not a thief.

Fair enough gjuroo. I just had issue with your remark "IT'S HIS MODEL NOW". It didn't seem like a joke, but rather a justification. I'm guilty for jumping on the witch hunt bandwagon. I'll leave it to the pros.

@TazMan2000: No problem, man. It is so obvious that the model of the skull is stolen so I let me be a little sarcastic. As for my models, I think I have only one unique model. The rest of them are "inspired" by real existing objects so it's no wonder that some models overlap with different modelers who are also "inspired". Last model that I put on market is Danny's tricycle from The Shining. I did a lot of research to model it as accurate as possible. In that research I've found 2-3 models that are on the market. And they are very bad in sense of accuracy and I was happy for this. But... The day I uploaded my model on CGT I've found here model of Danny's trike that is FREE. Of course I've downloadd that model to check how good is it and what impact a free model might have on sale of my model. And this model is great. Not good as mine but much better than the other models on the market. What can I do? I put my model on the market anyway. I invested a lot of time in it. It's a bugger. It really made me think that I should make more artistic and unique models. This way I may be more competitive on this market.

Damn, never thought there are so many thieft in this marketplace, secureness is rarity in digital market.
BTW, there are gundam model that being sold way too cheap, like 3$, does that indicates that that's stolen model too?, because it make no sense that such a complicated model being sold on very cheap price

You have no idea how much content is stolen, or being distributed illegally on digital marketplaces. What's surfacing on the forum, is only very tip of the iceberg.

Another typical thief. Again Evermotion (models of which unfortunately like Squir models have very long become the basis of all warez platforms) and all items at low prices.
