loading mutiple file versions for the end user

i am tryingto upload one or more file type tobe able to be selected . I was wondeing if say the obj format and the fbx format is available i cant seem to keep the textures and lighting made in the original 3ds format .

The 3ds file has lighting . Is it common for the obj files and fbx files just have the geometry and the maps need to appled again .

I think this is quite common

Yes it is common even for maya. You may need to create a proper folder hierarchy for each format, zip them separately and then upload them to CGT so when the user downloads the files everything is in the right place.
