I have exactly the same situation. Models views have dropped to almost zero, and there are no sales. I don't know what to do about this, but if the situation doesn't change, there's no point in uploading new models.
Beside the payment issues, since September of last year the number of views on the new models I upload has significantly decreased. despite no change in the quality of the models.
from September of last year until now, the views on new models have decreased by about 80%, and the sales of these models are also drastically low. I'm not new to this site and have many models, so I'm familiar with the usual statistics of model views. Any sales I have are from my older models. I don't know if there has been a change in the site's Algorithm, preventing new models from being shown to customers, or if it's another issue.
Honestly, now that new models seem to go unnoticed, I've lost interest in uploading new models. Is this happen to anyone else?

Yes, it's happening to everyone else: https://www.cgtrader.com/forum/selling-buying-3d-models/no-views
This problem has been discussed a few times in different forum posts, including the link that Lemonade has given. But I think the situation is even worse. The CGT search engine only brings back the first 10,000 or so models, so if you're model 10,001, you're just shit out of luck and your model will never, ever be viewed ... unless someone higher in the queue dies and you move up a step!
So a customer will have to type in a very specific search which just happens to hit your keywords for you to stand even a remote change. But even that doesn't work given that the new search algorithm has such a tendency to bring in complete irrelevancies. In other words, it's likely that the search engine will bring in irrelevant models rather than yours, so you remain stuck at position 10,001!
I've had a few, very low number of views on the some 160 models I've posted since Aug last year. But I'm now thinking that those hits aren't even customer views given the extreme unlikelihood outlined above. They're probably just bot hits.
Okay, so will CGT be adult enough to admit they screwed up and simple roll back the search and ranking algorithms they had pre Aug 23? Probably not. But even if they did, what about everything posted from then to now? All that work is probably forever lost in limbo.
I've been patient, hoping for them to do something about this, but I'm just about ready to call it a day. There are far better ways for me to spend my days than uploading models that will never, ever see the light of day.
You're absolutely right
Yes, similar thing is happening with everybody now. Don't know what to do
:(
This is a serious problem with cgtrader.
I uploaded one of my models on competitors site just yesterday. In less than a day I have the same amount of views on that site as on cgtrader and that model I uploaded on cgtrader month and half ago.
Hi
Algorithm Changes:
Some creators suspect that algorithm changes on the CGTrader platform may be responsible for this decline.
The search engine now appears to favor older models, pushing newer ones down the list.
Models published after a certain date (around August 22, 2023) are often buried at the bottom of search results, regardless of their quality or relevance 2.
This shift has left many newer models struggling to gain visibility.
Search Engine Limitations:
The CGTrader search engine seems to retrieve only the first 10,000 models in search results.
If your model ranks beyond this threshold (e.g., model 10,001), it may rarely be seen by potential customers.
Even if someone searches for relevant keywords, the algorithm sometimes brings up irrelevant models instead of yours
