Issue with Paypal?

Discussion started by alan-r-stewart

Hi. For several days now I have been trying to make a purchase on CG Trader, using Paypal. My preferred source of payment is my Paypal balance, which is high enough that it can easily meet the cost of my purchase.

Attempts to complete the purchase just go round in circles, until eventually a message pops up advising that there is a problem (doesn't specify what this is) and nothing further happens. Is this a known issue and, if so, can I expect it to be resolved soon?

Only support can help you with this, contact them via support@cgtrader.com but bear in mind that cgt support doesn't work on weekends, so expect respond probably tomorrow. There is also one other thing that i want to point out, you bought a stolen model (https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/car/antique-car/chevrolet-belair-1957-a22734e8-819a-4095-b413-e3e8963a833d) I highly suggest you to ask for a refund. Every single model on that profile is stolen from forza video games. I already reported that profile, so it will be banned by tomorrow. I hope that CGT will one day stop these scumbags once and for all.

Too bad that there isn't "edit post" options. I forgot to add this: To all people here who are buyers and are reading the forum but are not good enough in determination what model is stolen and what isn't. There is no such thing like this model https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/car/antique-car/chevrolet-belair-1957-a22734e8-819a-4095-b413-e3e8963a833d for 30$. Model done with such precision is more like 100$-200$-500$ maybe more depending on how precise dimensions wise and shapewise it is, is interior modeled, is engine modeled etc. It's just isn't profitable for artist to sell high quality model like this for 30$ which automatically point out that is most likely a stolen model.

S**t. I didn't know. Thank you for pointing that out, I'll have a look at the refund situation asap.

@tobiasrieper Good catch. @alan-r-stewart I also want to add that using this model in any commercial way (maybe even non-commercial) can/will get you into trouble. Good luck.
