Is the Review section biased by the buyer?

Discussion started by 3dxin

Hello Everyone,

I have something to ask you.
- Is the review always the support the right thing?
- What you feel when you get a negative review in a model which is already established as a standard one?
- I am badly feeling a comment section for the illogical buyers review, what you think?
- Do you have any suggestion to escape illogical buyer negative review?

Thanks.

False, offensive, etc. reviews are deleted, don't worry.

"False, offensive, etc. reviews are deleted, don't worry." I know of at least one artist who uses fake reviews and the platform does nothing about it.

It would be nice if you provided at least one example of such a fake review.

I don’t see the point in this, since I’m 99% sure that this artist has already been reported. The discrepancy between the quality of his models and the number (and description) of positive reviews is very striking. And the problem is not with any individual artist. It is impossible to track all fake reviews, but the platform may raise the minimum quality requirements for putting a model on stock. On many other stocks the requirements are much more serious than here. P.S. I ask that no names be mentioned here, as this will not solve the problem. P.P.S. Sorry for the bad English.

Well, I didn't expect some other response. Other 3d stock? Turbosquid or maybe 3ddd/3dsky where It doesn’t matter how much time it took you to create a model, what skills level, etc., 7$ with 70% royalty rate (only after 100K sales) is the maximum you are allowed. At the same time moderation is absolutely insane. CGTrader needs to adopt a similar experience? No.

Are you from a post-Soviet country? In the West, no one knows about 3ddd and I don’t understand why you even mention this site, since it is tailored for a regional, narrowly targeted audience; Yes, it would be nice if CGTrader started moderating its content more strictly. And yes, where did you find some particularly strict rules on publishing a model on TurboSquid? Does it consist of the need to provide a description of the model and several screenshots? Their policy on paying authors is really unfriendly, but I was originally talking about content moderation.

Really? In this case for what purpose in 2011 was created domain 3dsky? I mentioned this marketplace only because it's a total leader of madness in content moderation. Regarding Turbosquid, CheckMate/CheckMate Lite is not moderation? Of course, you can do without it, as well without joining a Guild, but what will you earn, LOL.

Lol, I didn't know that 3ddd has a clone site for Western buyers. What kind of pricing policy is this? The same model costs ~2 dollars (175 rubles) on 3ddd and 7 dollars (642 rubles) on 3dsky. I don’t think that authors with access to large Western stocks should be interested in 3ddd/3dsky at all.

3dxin, I just now saw the threatening review you received. This is not normal and I hope the administration will remove it.

iN my country (Italy) I know that small interior and exterior 3D graphic designers buy 3D models mainly on 3ddd/3dsky for the low price... and then exchange them on social media privately when they need suggestions on how to finish a job. .. they never buy on cgtrader or turbosquid....
Fortunately my customers are not so inclined towards reviews.... they buy if they need it and that's it...
best regards...

3ddd is quite an original and paradoxical place with some depressing tendencies.)) Discussions about working in 3D at age 40+, need to do something more important than create interiors in 3ds Max, etc.

I don't do that job even if I use 3ds max..... but I know that by law in our country internal and external renderings are necessary for some contracts... there are people who work there... best regards....

for the negative review I think it is due to the low prices you have set... someone will not like them... they bought one of your models and gave you a bad review... these are the risks of the low price policy... .

Sellers with models from 99$ also have negative reviews. There will always be dissatisfied customers, even with top designers with items at any price. An exception can only be if you are a designer with a level as Vitaly Bulgarov.

It doesn't matter if the model is good or bad, insulting seller in a review should not be tolerated. Not only you should request to remove that review, but also you could ask to suspend that customer's account. Such behaviour is not acceptable.

I couldn't agree more. It appears I overlooked the suspension request — it just didn't come to mind. I'll remember to consider it in the future. Here's hoping such issues won't arise again anytime soon!

No, I did not ask for this feedback. I did not know earlier that the cgt has the option to ask to remove inappropriate or harassing feedback, as there was not any option to flag or report the comments. Your shared one is actually another feedback that is totally illogical as I did not offering any step file. Furthermore, the buyer did not even asked me to the msg.
